剧情介绍
以經濟大蕭條為背景，大膽地揭示了美國搖搖欲墜的經濟結構，瘋狂擠兌、銀行倒閉、工廠關門、失業等種種危機。四十年來政府對金融的寬鬆政策，大量的工作外包，美國執政黨主張減稅、減少商業管制等政策，只有利於大型企業和富有的商人菁英，等於變相的劫貧濟富。但實際上政客與企業家各執一方，受苦難的永遠是勞工、窮人、弱勢團體…工人階級和中產階級的人對美國經濟持續的攻擊之下，儼然成為美國經濟危機的根源。Heist: Who Stole the American Dream? reveals how American corporations orchestrated the dismantling of middle-class prosperity through rampant deregulation, the outsourcing of jobs, and tax policies favoring businesses and the wealthy. The collapse of the U.S. economy is the result of conscious choices made over thirty five years by a small group: leaders of corporations and their elected allies, and the biggest lobbying interest in Washington, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. To these individuals, the collapse is not a catastrophe, but rather the planned outcome of their long, patient work. For the rest of the country, it is merely the biggest heist in American history.
