剧情介绍
查理（杰克·尼科尔森 Jack Nicholson）是一个驻守在美国墨西哥边境的警察，他的身边充满了暴力、贪污、与诱惑，他因此饱受压力。更糟的是，他的妻子玛西（瓦莱丽·佩莱恩 Valerie Perrine）贪婪无度，喜好追求高质量的生活，为了满足妻子对金钱的需求，查理开始收贿，让墨西哥的非法移民出入边境。没想到，此事竟导致他与一名年轻的墨西哥女子坠入情网……U.S. Border Patrol agent Charlie Smith just wants to do a good job and provide for his wife. But between her demands for a more affluent lifestyle and the importuning of Charlie's partner Cat to take part in illegal activities in exchange for bribes, Charlie gets caught up in helping smuggle illegal immigrants across the Texas border. When one of them, a young Mexican girl named Maria, loses her baby to abductors who plan to sell the child, Charlie decides to take a stand for her and against the corruption he's fallen into.
