固名思義，《Scratch》是一部關於 scratch 的電影/紀錄片。開明正宗講 scratch，導演 Doug Pray 找來很多在 Hip Hop 和 scratch 這方面的重量級人馬來細說其詳，有「歷史」人物 Afrika Bambaataa、Jazzy Jay、and Grand Mixer DXT；亦有訪問了當今 Hip Hop 和 scratch 的至尊 DJ Q-bert、DJ Shadow、Mix Master Mike、Cut Chemist，問他們對於 turntabalism 的見解。
Grand Mixer DXT 和 Grand Wizard Theo
一眾 DJ 們也不約而同說，1984年 Grand Mixer DXT 和 Herbie Hancock 在 Grammy Adwards 所玩的 Rock-it 就是影響他們進入scratch 的世界啟蒙。 被譽為 The pioneer of the Scratch的 Grand Wizard Theo said 除了說 "I should get a dollar every time someone scratches a record onto another record." 還鄭重地說了很多人對於 Hip Hop 的誤解，他說 "A lot of people get rap and hip hop mixed-up, its two totally different things. when you say rap, you're saying a MC and DJ. When you say Hip Hop, you're saying graffiti, breakdance, DJ, MC, the way you dress, the way you talk, all element into one, and thats hip hop" 哈，我也相信很多人把 hip hop 混淆了。
DJ Q-bert - the king of scratch
講 scratch 怎能少得 DJ Q-bert，在《Scratch》內除了可見到他對 scratch 的看法和他精湛的 scratching；更有他那可同時容納四人同時「jam」scratching 的大「廚」房、千幾二千呎的大屋和很多 MARS-1 的收藏品。在《Scratch》的 disc 2，更有 DJ Q-bert 由 baby scratch 開始教你 scratching。
DJ Shadow - the King of Digging
眾所周知 DJ Shadow 的 sampling 與眾不同，皆因他一天到晚躲在唱片店 digging。所謂寶物尋歸底，唱片店老板見他日來夜來，終於開放了很少讓「外人」進入的地庫給 DJ Shadow，要知道這個地庫儲藏了數以十萬的唱片！而且"most of them are nearly untouch" 在《Scratch》內，DJ Shadow 就坐在這個地庫，坐在這個十多萬張唱片傍如數家珍，說他小時候如何用錄音帶作 mix-tape，如何如何、為什為什要找出獨特的 sampling...
