看完這個片子第一個問題就是who killed the cop？對於adam的審判當然是非常不公正，整個jury trial 過程是充滿了reasonable doubt，違反程序的D.A.,引導陪審團的法官。作為德州地方司法機構，politics要比法律來得要緊。因為一個police officer被殺了，some one had to pay or take reponsibility. 顯然adams是個unluky fellow，從整體的證據來看，他有非常大的可能是被冤枉的，本來的結果應該是not guilty，但是德州司法系統給了美國justice system扇了個耳光，出於政治需要，法官，D.A.導演了整出拙劣的戲，違反了整個系統中的程序公正原則。究竟adams是不是凶手呢？who knows, nobody knows except adams and david.
