She heard a noise from the boat. She saw the prince and the princess looking for her. They looked sadly out to sea, as if they knew she had jumped into the sea. She kissed the bride on the forehead and smiled at the prince. Then she stood up with the other children in the sky and became a pink cloud, passing by her.
She said, "this is how I will ascend into the kingdom of god in three hundred years."
"You can go there before then," one of the others whispered to her. "Invisibly, we fly over the home of mankind. They couldn't see us, so they didn't know when we were there; But if we find a good child who makes his parents happy and worthy of their love, we will smile and god will take a year out of our trials. But if there is a naughty child in the house where we come, we cry; Every tear we shed is god's gift to us during our three hundred years of service.
