Plot Summary:When a domestic counselor's ex-wife attempts to move to the other side of the country with their son and new boyfriend, he decides to do whatever is necessary to keep it from happening.
家暴谘询师杰拉德与分居中的妻子玛妮，正在谈论儿子史考提的监护权，因无法接受玛妮计划带着史考提与新欢搬到加州，他派人调查玛妮的交往对象史都华，发现他过往有家暴的前科。而预计要和史都华移居加州的玛妮，突然像是在隐瞒什么，拒绝了史都华，他失控地辱骂玛妮并施予暴力，这时，杰拉德拿着枪闯进屋内，与玛妮将史都华捆绑后，从口袋掏出沾有格蕾丝指纹的刀子…。
