Plot Summary:FORGOTTEN PLACES is arguably the first documentary filmed on 35mm camera equipment for the big screen and in the Swahili language. It is a poetic film, which draws on the universal legend of the flood. Time and memory are subjects that resonate with poetry, and the film dwells on themes that place contemporary preoccupations within an expanded perspective of time. Time is after all one of the most universal of human experiences. FORGOTTEN PLACES is an enchanting tale about a battle between memory and forgetfulness. The film was produced by the Polish Kronika Film Studios and filmed on the coast of Kenya.
